It’s said GMA Films is being revived in co-production with Regal Entertainment and one of their projects is a movie pairing him with Jennylyn Mercado. “Narinig ko rin yan, sana nga matuloy,” says Dingdong.
And there’s also a possible new with movie with Director Erik Matti for another “Aswang Chronicles” sequel. So have they patched things up after Matti promised him “Honor Thy Father” then gave it to John Lloyd Cruz. “Hindi naman ako nakipag-away. I just kept quiet. But okay na kami uli. Nagkausap na kami. Matagal na.”
He’s very happy that viewers supported him as an action star in “Alyas Robin Hood”. “18 years na ako sa GMA at hindi ko akalain na may darating pala akong ganitong show. Everywhere I got, people tell me they watch it, lalo na mga lalaki at mga bata na gusto ang action scenes. The downside is I have less time with my wife (Marian Rivera) and our daughter Zia. Ang Christmas wish ko nga is to have a five-day straight vacation na wala kaming taping. Pero mahirap gawin kasi kung hindi, wala kaming ipalalabas kaya wala kaming Christmas break. Kung minsan nga, four times a week kami nagte-taping. This is also the reason why our plan to go visit Marian’s dad in Spain para makita niya si Zia, hindi rin matutuloy. Kapag natapos na lang siguro ang show.”
What can he say about talks that his wife Marian is getting jealous of his “Alyas Robin Hood” co-star, Andrea Torres, who looks so seductive and is flirting with him in the show? “It’s not true. Ewan ko nga kung bakit ginagawaan ng sila ng kuwento. Happy kami ng wife ko at huwag na nilang intrigahin.”
We heard GMA-7 is planning a sitcom for them after “Alyas Robin Hood”. “That’s a dream project for us. Pero hindi ko pa mako-confirm. Sana nga, matuloy. We’d love to do it.”
