Congressman-Actor Yul Servo Hosts Thanksgiving-Christmas Party For The Press With His Longtime Manager, Direk Maryo J. De Los Reyes

CONGRESSMAN YUL SERVO turns out to be the main host of the Christmas Party for the press called by his manager, Director Maryo J. de los Reyes for his own company, Production 56, that also manages Ruru Madrid, Nash Aguas, Leandro Baldemor, Neil Ryan Sese, Migz Cuaderno, Barbara Miguel, Orlando Sol, Xyruz Cruz, Ashley Cruz, Mr. Gay World John Raspado, Trio Tagapayo and the all male sing-and-dance group, Masculados.

Yul is really Direk Maryo’s most successful talent. His real name is John Marvin Nieto and he was introduced in the Lav Diaz movie, “Batang Westside” in 2001 for which he quickly won a Cinemanila Filmfest acting award. More acting awards followed for films like “Brutus, Ang Paglalakbay” (a Cinemalaya entry), “Torotot” and “Laman”.

He then ran for councilor of Manila’s 3rd district. “Ayaw akong payagan noon ni Direk Maryo pero gusto ko talagang maglingkod sa mga kadistrito ko,” Yul recalls. “Awa ng Diyos, nanalo and I served for three terms. Now, I’m on my first term as congressman of the 3rd district starting last year.”

Yul and Direk Maryo raffled off several home appliances and cash prizes for the press at the party held at Annabel’s Restaurant. Yul showed all the accomplishments he has done so far for his district and they’re really quite impressive. But he has not neglected his acting career. He’s now part of the action-drama series, “Tukhang”, on Cignal TV which is now on its second season.
